30th Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Fair* - January 28 and 29, 2012
Year of the Dragon!!! The Silk Road team will be managing the entertainment once again for this special Year of the Dragon celebration. The San Diego Chinese Center will host its 30th annual Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair January 28-29, 2012 in the Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District of San Diego. This two day event is an annual cultural outreach program as well as a fund-raising event to benefit the year round cultural programs and charitable services provided to the community by the San Diego Chinese Center.

The Fair will be open on both days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free, and all ages are invited. The celebration will include lion and dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, traditional Chinese music performances, folk dances, and a wide variety of food and craft vendors. Children will be able to make lanterns and masks in the Children Craft Area, and march in the Lantern Parade. A full schedule of events can be found at the Fair website at www.sdcny.org
