FilAmFest 2007

FilAmFest - Filipino American Arts and Culture Festival - Saturday, October 6th
Silk Road Productions is gearing up for the third annual FilAmFest in San Diego! We will be a big part of the production and coordination of this cultural festival, showcasing many different aspects of the Filipino culture.

The 2007 Filipino American Festival of Arts and Culture will take place in Paradise Hills in San Diego on Saturday, October 6th, from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Paradise Valley Road will be transformed into an exciting festival celebrating Filipino and Filipino American arts, heritage and culture.

The festival will feature the theme, “Beyond Traditions: Showcasing Filipino Character and Spirit,” and will have two stages of entertainment, which will blend together traditional and modern music, dances, and performances. There will also be food vendors, retail and information booths, an artist gallery and a children’s interactive area.

The FilAm Fest is an annual event initiated by the Office of Council Preseident Pro Tem Anthony Young of the City of San Diego District 4 with Kalusugan Community Services and the Mabuhay Alliance. More information can be found at FilAmFest.com.

Performers include: the Pakaraguian Kulintang Ensemble, Martin Nievera, Terry Matsuoka, Casual Friday, Six Sign, and the Philippine All-Stars!
