Philippine Liberation Gala Dinner - Saturday, September 19th
Celebrate the Philippine Liberation Week with a dinner gala recognizing and honoring Filipino Veterans who have served the United States Armed Forces! The observance will be led by the Veterans Museum and Memorial Center and the gala honors the WWII Filipino Veterans who fought in the opening battles and participated in the resistance and liberation of the Philippines. Silk Road Productions was honored to produce and coordinate this event!

Among those who participated in the awards presentation included Congressman Bob Filner, Assemblymember Mary Salas, and Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon. Entertainment for the evening was Lite Malit, Jessica Sanchez, and Music & Friends. Co-hosting the event were Georgette Copes and Robert Talon.

The Veterans Museum and Memorial Center's Philippine Liberation Gala Dinner is a fund raiser that will be happening this fall at the Catamaran Resort Hotel. This event will bring together business executives, community leaders, small businesses, Veterans and our community to celebrate the long history of the Filipino participation as allies to the United States, while at the same time, supporting the Museum.

The Veterans Museum and Memorial Center is located in Balboa Park, 2115 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101, and you can see exhibits and displays of artifacts, memorabilia, and documents from the past. The Veterans Memorial Center, Inc. was formed in March 1989 to create, maintain and operate an institution to honor and perpetuate the memories of all men and women who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Tickets to this exciting benefit event are $60 and tables are $500. You can register online or you can call 619-234-1360 to make your reservations or to inquire about details. Attend the gala and be a part of the awards ceremony in the "Campaign for the Liberation of the Philippines and the fulfillment for General Douglas MacArthur's "I Shall Return!"
